PROM 2010

I am not sure how I ended up making a prom dress, my friend claims that it was my idea, I am not sure, I think it was her. All blame aside, I had fun making this dress in a few days. When I say "fun" I mean it was nuts, but I like it nuts.

I also made her jewelry, her bag, and a shawl...that was my idea!

I used a pattern , but it was terrible, so I had to improvise, also this beautiful girl is tall and thin, so a lot of adjustments had to be made.

Everyone was happy with the way it turned out, although a paper bag would look great on this amazing young woman!

And I have another shout out to Yellow Bird Fabrics, for the beautiful black beaded trim on the straps and under the bust. LOVE IT!

The Kate

Made with silk, cordura, and cotton.
Named for its owner, Kate, who has been asking for a bag for 2 years...well here it is.

I could tell that she was pleased when she called and the screaming was so loud I had to turn down the volume on the phone.
